I created a logo for my Digital Style for Public Relations Messages course. This course is designed to teach students the principles of style and design through the use of various content management systems, HTML/CSS and creative software.

My logo was created using Canva and Adobe Photoshop. I wanted my logo to be simple and to look similar to my signature. I carefully selected “Playlist Script” for my font because I love the aesthetics of the cursive.

Once I created my logo, I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the size and create a transparent background. My logo can be found on the top and bottom left corner of every page of my website.

Logos are important because they are a company’s visual brand. A few of the essential qualities of a good logo are for it to be memorable, timeless and distinct.

Some of my favorite logos are Kellogg’s, Johnson & Johnson and Coca-Cola, as all three are simply the business name in a cursive font. Logos do not have to be extravagant to be iconic.
